ORGANIZATION: Paws in the City

  • 14 people are interested

Normally we have 1 to 2 litters plus sometimes a few singles. The puppy coordinator will work with our Medical team to schedule vet appointments to make sure all shots and spay/neuters are scheduled. Then follow up and ensure the appointments are completed w the fosters/foster to adopters. Work with potential adopters to get intros set up and contracts and payment for the dogs. And once the dogs have had their 2nd set of shots, work with fosters to get the dogs to adoption events. Some daytime availability is necessary. Please email stacey@pawsinthecity.org if you are interested.

About Paws in the City

Location:

3824 Cedar Springs, #360, Dallas, TX 75219, US

Mission Statement

Paws In The City is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization committed to ending the abuse, neglect and overpopulation of Dallas area dogs and cats. Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. By providing money for spay/neuter and increasing the adoption rate, we take the first step in making Dallas a no kill city.

Description

  1. Paws In The City has spent over 5 years rescuing and healing the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community. We focus on rescuing dogs and cats from the City of Dallas municipal shelter because they must euthanize almost 30,000 animals every year. We hope to make a difference.
  2. We currently do not have a shelter, but utilize foster homes and boarding facilities to board the animals in our care until a forever home can be found. Therefore we do not have employee or shelter related costs. Every dollar raised goes to foster, adoption, training, medical and spay/neuter programs.

Programs

**Rescuing, fostering and adopting dogs and cats through our foster and adoption programs

** Providing a Medical Assistance Fund which offers the public help with expensive surgeries or treatments that they could not afford on their own (for qualified applicants only)
