Cause's C-DEL ("movie cart") program at Balboa Naval Medical Center provides wounded warriors and their caregivers free and easy access to a comprehensive selection of newly released DVDs and video games as they are recuperating in the hospital. Often the only source of free entertainment on military posts, the C-DEL is one of the most popular Cause programs.
Volunteers are needed to staff the C-DEL cart Monday-Friday from 6-8pm and Sunday from 2-4pm (special need for volunteers available Thursday and Sundays). Training will be provided. Volunteers are asked to sign up for at least one shift every month.
Interested volunteers should submit a Cause Volunteer Application & Agreement on our website at:

Mission Statement
Cause organizes programs that promote recreation, relaxation and resilience for wounded, ill, and injured members of the U.S. Armed Services and those supporting their recovery.
Description
Cause programs are designed to bring a bit of relaxation and fun into what are, for many, very challenging circumstances. But they also serve a much more serious purpose: that of helping wounded warriors begin the normalization process and the re-entry to home and community as they take their long journey back to health.
