Groups are needed to help make a difference at one or more of Cleveland Botanical Garden's Green Corps Learning Farms. These urban farms not only offer their communities access to fresh fruits and vegetables, they also teach high school youth valuable skills.
Volunteer groups help us accomplish larger projects. This is a great opportunity for groups to build teamwork and collaboration through a fun, done-in-a-day, project. No gardening experience needed, just a willingness to help out, dig in, and probably get a little dirty! Activities often include preparing beds, planting, mulching, weeding, irrigating, and harvesting.
Group opportunities are available Tuesday - Saturday, April through October. Groups typically come for 3 or more hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. We can accommodate groups from 5 to 40 volunteers (groups with more than 20 or so volunteers are typically split up between various farms). We have four Green Corps Learning Farm locations; farm assignment is usually based on greatest need. You can see the location of our farms and learn about the programs impact on Cleveland on our website:
