ORGANIZATION: Kandiyohi County Food Shelf

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

The Willmar Area Food Shelf is very busy right now with all the wonderful fresh produce coming in from our local community gardens, along with individuals who donate produce from their home gardens.

We are looking for individuals to assist in our backroom/warehouse area. This position will be responsible for recieving donations from local stores as well as individuals in the community. All donations coming into the food shelf are weighed and sorted to be put on the shelves for our clients to enjoy. Stocking the shelves and dairy coolers, as well as checking dates on all donations is an important part of this position. You will work directly with our Inventory Specialist to make sure that we always have plenty of items available for our clients.

The individuals for this position should have a strong back and the ability to work independently. This positon is perfect for someone who prefers to stay behind the scenes and still be a vital part of the operation of the food shelf.

Hours available would be M-F 8am-12pm or M-F 12pm-3:45pm. Hours can vary depending on the need of the organization or ability of the individual.
