Volunteers shifts are available Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm. Shifts include: 10am-12pm, 10am-2pm, 10am-4pm, 11:30am-4:30pm, 1:30pm-4:30pm.
ReStore volunteers work in an active and fast paced retail environment while serving Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity's mission. You'll be joining a team of volunteers and staff each day to help us raise money through the sale of donated construction supplies, furniture, and appliances. Volunteers assist customers with their donations and purchases, prep/clean/organize donations, and support ReStore staff in the day-to-day operations of the store. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore helps fund our Homeownership and Home Repair Programs--we need you to help make that happen!
You'll have a great time volunteering in our supportive team setting. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a great place to earn resume-building experience while ensuring that Lucas County families have safe and affordable homes. Everyone wins!
ReStore volunteers must be at least 18 years old, must be able to lift product, and work on their feet for extended periods of time. Background checks and a scheduled orientation is required before volunteering begins. Volunteers, ages 14-17, are allowed to work in the ReStore with an accompanying, supervising adult.

Mission Statement
Seeking to put God's love into action, Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope in Lucas County, Ohio and around the world.
Description
Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity believes that every person deserves a decent place to live. We rely on donors and volunteers to build, rehab, and repair homes locally and across the globe. At Habitat, volunteers are central to our work. You'll be joining a team of 1,700 other like-minded people who want a hands-on way to improve their community! You'll see us active in the community in three main ways:
Home ownership:
The home ownership program provides low-income families the opportunity to purchase a safe, affordable home. Participating families complete 250-500 "sweat equity" or volunteer hours and commit to paying a no-interest mortgage.
Home Repair:
We work with families who need health and safety-related home repairs. We provide repair services at a reduced price, and the homeowner has access to a no-interest loan to cover the remaining cost of the repair work.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore
Building and repairing homes takes a lot of money, and the Habitat for Humanity ReStore helps us raise those necessary funds. Through the sale of new and gently used furniture, construction supplies, and appliances, we are able to raise thousands of dollars to help build and repair homes in our community. We receive quality donations from businesses and individuals. We then re-sell items to the public at a fraction of retail.
