Day Camp Worker for Children of Immigrant Families

Volunteers are needed during the summer (mid-June through the mid-July) to provide direct assistance to children of immigrant families in Southside’s summer day camp program. The day camp includes crafts, games, soccer, field trips (including to the pool), and other physical activities. Volunteers are expected to model positive behaviors and help facilitate the scheduled day camp activities. Volunteers may choose a weekday or a week (or the whole summer) when they can consistently attend during camp hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during the work week. A volunteer may work the whole day or just come for a few hours per week according to the volunteer's schedule. Contact us for more information!

Description
St. Francis Community Services Southside Center (Southside) is a social service agency that supports and strengthens St. Louis Metropolitan Area children, families, and communities by providing case management, mental health counseling, and youth programming in a bilingual, culturally sensitive environment. Southside specializes in working with the Latino and Vietnamese immigrant populations.
