This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in the field of Hospital Administration / Marketing / Public Relations/ Non Profit and volunteer management. The skills you learn here can be transferred to many types of jobs and will look great on a resume! As a Hospice Administrative Intern you will be trained to do the following:
Preparation and assembly of applications and orientation packets
Go on patient visits
Make phone calls to patient families
Send out birthday cards to patients
Monitoring volunteer requirements and time sheets
Volunteer recruitment
Reach out to schools in the health care fields which have field placement requirements for their students
Research colleges and maintain a calendar of volunteer fairs
Attend various staff meetings
Help organize memorial services
Working with Activity department organizing monthly facility projects
Pet Therapy
Attend Chamber Mixers and Chamber Committee meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Reliable transportation to and from Shoemakersville/Hamburg
Pass a background check and 2 step TB testing.
This is an unpaid internship. We will work with college credits.
