One of our core programs is called TriplePlay which is focused on healthy lifestyles and staying active. TriplePlay is designed to improve Club members’ knowledge of healthy habits; increase the number of hours per day they participate in physical activities; and strengthen their ability to interact positively with others and engage in positive relationships. If you like to play sports or coach this is a great opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteers to help run different sports programs; whether you like basketball, soccer, lacrosse, football, volleyball, baseball, dodge ball, or fitness work outs we have kids who want to play and learn from you!

Description
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Contra Costa currently reaches over 1,000 youth aged 6-18 through its various programs.
Our club teaches through word and deed, the importance of living honorably. Through programs, activities and everyday interactions, our club reinforces service and selflessness, caring and compassion, honesty and integrity, freedom and fairness, inclusion and diversity, right and wrong. In today’s world, success is often defined in terms of educational achievement, in the sense of acquiring knowledge. Although important and part of the club experience, what matters most is not the acquisition of knowledge alone, but teaching young people to live honorable lives.
Our youth development philosophy is the way our professionals communicate and interact with young people to build them up with: a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness and influence.
