Engage our guests by providing a walking highlight tour of the beautiful Cleveland Botanical Garden campus of Holden Forests & Gardens. No gardening expertise or background in horticulture is needed, just a willingness to learn, an interest in volunteering outside, and a passion for interacting with people! Volunteers are provided training, informational materials, and the opportunity to shadow tours until they are ready to go out on their own. If you enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, sharing a passion for plants or the environment, learning exciting new things about the world around us, and enhancing a guest's understanding of the natural world around them, then this is the opportunity for you!
Outdoor tour guides provide assistance from April - October, typically for our 1 p.m. tour on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Experienced tour guides are also able to assist with the many private tours that groups book throughout the season. Volunteers must commit to completing a minimum of two tours a month.
Our next outdoor tour guide training session is Saturday, July 27 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. If you are interested in joining us or would like to learn more, simply email us at CBGvolunteer@holdenfg.org!
