Join our volunteer community! Cosmetology Volunteers Needed.EvergreenHealth Hospice is one of the few remaining not-for-profit Hospice services in the region. We support patients and their families all over King and Snohomish counties. We rely on caring neighbors to bring the gift of touch to our patients. Cosmetology Volunteers hold an active Cosmetology (Barber or Hair Designer) License and understand that services may be provided to patients who are chair or bed bound.All volunteers complete a comprehensive Hospice Core Training and specialized position training. We will teach you the practical and emotional skills you need to confidently spend time alongside the dying while helping them enjoy their life.
Cosmetology Volunteers are truly brightening their neighbors lives. Our patients are not able to leave the house for grooming services and appreciate looking clean and tidy. Vanity does not take a vacation! You will work in private homes, adult family homes, skilled nursing facilities, or at the Hospice Care Center on our Kirkland campus. You choose your assignment, based on your own criteria (location, day of the week, what is being requested).
Cosmetology Volunteers are popular and valued members of the hospice team. They are supported by the Volunteer Coordinators, by the other members of the patient's care team, and, if needed, by our Bereavement Coordinators.

Description
