Do you enjoy working with seniors and making a difference? If your answer is yes, Nevada Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) is looking for volunteers to take part in the fight against fraud, waste and abuse in Medicare. Medicare fraud is a big problem costing taxpayers an estimated $60 billion each year.
SMP volunteers play an important role in addressing this problem by educating Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers through presentations, outreach events and one-on-one counseling.
SMP volunteers receive FREE, comprehensive training to prepare them for their assignments and on-going education to keep abreast of the latest fraud and scam activities. All volunteers are subject to background checks.

Are you a senior or a caregiver that would like to know more about Medicare and healthcare fraud, errors or abuse, especially how to recognize it and how to report it? Or maybe you want to be able to help your parents, grandparents or other family members not to become a victim? The Nevada SMP - Senior Medicare Patrol is currently looking for volunteers, whose primary function is to educate Nevadans on how not to become a victim of Medicare & healthcare fraud, and how to recognize Medicare & Medicaid fraud, errors, waste or abuse. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know!
