PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Western North Carolina Region Communications Department seeks to measurably increase public understanding of the American Red Cross and how it impacts our community through the following volunteer opportunities: Disaster Public Affairs, Multimedia and Content Writing, Videographer/Photographer, Speakers Bureau and Media Spokesperson.
OPEN TIME DAYS
On Call⦆one week per month -⦆daily from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.⦆⦆Rotating schedule.
Communications: Local Multimedia and Content WritingMonday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.mCommunications: Local Videographer/Photographer
Flexible. Planned shoots,⦆scheduled⦆specific regional and chapter events and on-call for emergency response⦆
Communications: Local Speakers Bureau and Media Spokesperson
Flexible.⦆Available to attend events⦆and/or interviews⦆during the weekday, evening,⦆⦆or⦆weekends.
REQUIRED TRAINING
Volunteers must meet Qualifications. American Red Cross specific training is provided.
