Volunteers are vital to the success of the JA Golf Classic & Auction. This all day event starts with a scramble-style golf tournament held at Glendale Country Club in Bellevue, WA followed by a dinner and auction.
Volunteers are needed for everything from pre-event preparation, day-of set-up & registration, the monitoring of on-course contests, and help at the evening’s auction.

Mission Statement
Junior Achievement's mission is to ensure that every child in America has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. This is achieved by developing the desire in young people to stay in school and appreciate lifelong learning by fostering positive attitudes toward work, and by creating a partnership between schools, businesses and the community.
Description
Junior Achievement (JA) is the world's largest and fastest growing volunteer driven, non-profit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives. By stressing the relevance of education to the workplace, JA helps students prepare for lifelong learning and develop the skills they will need to be successful adults. JA's sequential and integrated Kindergarten through twelfth grade programs are taught by dedicated business and community volunteers who prepare youth for adult life by emphasizing the importance and relevance of education and staying in school, teaching career skills and de-mystifying the business world. JA volunteers make economic concepts relevant, challenge students to think critically, and fuel the entrepreneurial spirit. Recognized by education and business partners as a highly effective means of instilling financial skills in young people, JA of Washington is considered the premier organization in Western Washington for promoting, fostering and educating young people in financial literacy. JA of Washington continues to grow. Last year, JA reached 100,000 students, which marks a dramatic increase from 20,000 students in 1990. This year, JA will reach over 101,000 Kindergarten through twelfth-grade students. JA programs are provided to schools at no cost. Funds are raised from corporate and personal gifts, special events and grants.
