ORGANIZATION: Hephzibah Children's Association

Day Care Volunteers are on-site volunteers at our After School Day Care Program at one of the 8 Oak Park Elementary Schools. As a Day Care Volunteer, your role is to be a friend and positive role model to the children in the day care program. You will help with homework, play games, read or teach the child a new game and assist staff where necessary.

Guidelines:

  • Must complete volunteer process (application, interview and orientation).
  • Training will be provided by Volunteer Manager and/or day care site supervisor

Qualifications Sought:

  • Reliability, caring and desire to make a difference
  • Flexible to adapt to the children’s special needs
  • Flexible schedule

Location: One of the 8 public elementary schools in Oak Park (see site locations below)

Time Frame: Based on your after-school availability, day care sites are open Monday-Friday between 3-6pm. Must commit to one day/week for one hour or more for at least 3 months

Supervision: Day Care Site Supervisor along with day care staff
