Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc. (P&A) needs volunteers for our Team Advocacy Project.
The Team Advocacy Project conducts unannounced inspections of Community Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs), otherwise known as assisted living facilities in the state of South Carolina. These inspections for P&A's mission to protect the legal, civil, and human rights of people with disabilities.
To become a volunteer with Team Advocacy, there is a training involved. The training will typically last two hours. After this, we ask volunteers to complete at least two visits per year and P&A is flexible around your schedule! While our office is located in Columbia, SC we work with volunteers across the state and can accommodate this by inspecting facilities near you!
