The Plattekill Public Library would like volunteers to assist students in grades K-12 with their homework and to tutor students in need of help in speciific subject areas such as math, English, social studies, science, global studies etc. Frequently, students need assistance with their homework and beyond. This is a volunteer opportuinity as a homework help mentor and or tutor.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Plattekill Public Library shall be to promote a lifelong appreciation for reading and other forms of learning. The library will strive to meet the educational, informational, cultural, professional, and recreational needs of the growing and diverse community it serves.
Description
The Plattekill Public Library Volunteer Program is designed to expand and enhance public service to the community. Volunteers generally provide support services to paid staff; work on special projects; or deliver library materials to the homebound. Volunteers are expected to act in accordance with library policies and to reflect positive customer service attitudes to all library patrons.
