TIME REQUIREMENT WINSTON-SALEM

One Day a Week in the Afternoon from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The administrator directs phone calls to appropriate staff, provides general information, registers clients, admits clients to the pharmacy, and pulls/creates client file folders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Be knowledgeable of the Ministry’s operations and must be able to convey an attitude of "patient grace and competent compassion" as each call is answered, and each client is registered for services.

TRAINING

An experienced operator will train the new volunteer. The supervisor will also provide on-going training.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Answer Telephone
  1. If the caller requests to speak to a specific person, transfer the call to that extension.
  2. If the caller requests information about our services, direct them to the information line.
  3. The telephone receptionist may give general information as to hours, office procedures, etc.
Pharmacy Clients
  1. Must present a Crisis Control Ministry Pharmacy Certification Card that has a current date, hall pass, or referral to gain access to the pharmacy.
  2. Buzz clients through to the pharmacy after they meet the above requirement.
