Interview Neighbors Requesting Assistance

Gather information from neighbors about why they are reaching out for assistance, their crisis, and household financials to help us make an informed decision about providing assistance. The interviewer should be respectful, compassionate, understanding of the client needs. Interviews are happening over the phone or in-person.

QUALIFICATIONS

Be knowledgeable of the Ministry’s operations and guidelines while conveying an attitude of "patient grace and competent compassion" to every client without prejudice or judgment.

TRAINING

On the job training is provided using shadowing and one on one training by an experienced volunteers, and staff members. The supervisor will also provide on-going training. Periodic training classes will be offered as needed.

TIME COMMITMENT

One shift per week, either Wednesdays from 9 a.m. - Noon or 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and Fridays from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
