GRANT WRITING CONSULTANT

The Grant Writing Consultant is responsible for assisting our organization's staff and volunteers to increase our grant readiness and competitively apply for and successfully manage grant funding.

1. Research potential grants and funders.
2. Assist in developing compelling letters of inquiry, proposals and reports
3. Establish and maintain an updated annual grants calendar
4. Coordinate letters of support and proposal writing
5. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other volunteer staff to gather information needed for grants and proposals.
6. Conduct research as needed

Qualifications

1. Experience in fundraising and/or grant writing preferred.
2. Must have written successful grants and proposals in the past.
3. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Must be able to operate professionally and on a flexible time schedule.
5. Must work effectively with agency staff.
6. Demonstrate good judgment and ability to work independently.
7. Must be driven to succeed, organized, proactive, innovative and responsible.
