Hospice is a philosophy of care in which the goal is to enhance the quality of life for patients nearing life's end. Patients in hospice experience life-limiting illness, and often seek comfort and companionship, and our volunteers have the opportunity to provide that kind of support to our patients and their families. Hospice volunteers visit patients and play this integral role as part of the interdisciplinary team caring for each patient.
