Our mentoring program is a one-on-one program designed to help both the mentor and the mentee thru a variety of Bible studies and life-skills classes focused on developing self-esteem, goal setting, good work ethic and improved social skills.
You will assist your mentee in discovering resources to help them find stability and become a more functional part of their family and community. You will be required to attend classes provided by Stepping Out Inc. in order to become better acquainted with your mentee and to attend other training as needed.
It is important to follow guidelines established by SOI in order to prevent mentor abuse. You must establish boundaries, practice confidentiality and be able to report incidents if they should occur.
