About Opening Doors Foundation

Location:

555 Dana Avenue, San Jose, CA 95126, US

Mission Statement

We believe in making an impact in the world.

The students that we help often face tremendous personal challenges of dealing with discrimination from others resulting in low self esteem, economic challenges of not being able to afford educational help, and difficulties achieving their potential.

Though no fault of their own, many of these students often struggle to complete high school. The environment is not supportive. Parents struggle to provide support and peers can have a negative impact. Our goal is to improve their lives by tutoring them, providing guidance and a supportive environment. We will provide afterschool activities that will help them spend their time in a more productive manner, and ultimately provide a healthy lifestyle through companionship among fellow students and physical activities.

We are uniquely qualified in that we can relate to these kids. We are a group of young professionals who grew up in the area and understand the challenges that they face. We are in a position to show them that they are not restricted to specific life choices and can make something of their lives.

If you share our passion and background, feel free to email at support@openingdoorsfoundation.org.
