The Little Bit Foundation is committed to helping disadvantaged school children by creating a positive impact for personal growth, increasing self-esteem and encouraging a more focused and active learning environment. We do this by building strong relationships and partnering closely with St. Louis schools.
We do this by providing programs and services that are designed to serve the needs of the whole child in order to have a collective impact on his or her readiness to learn.
The Little Bit Foundation is currently in 20 schools, serving 6,000 children.
With our Healthy Kids, Better Learners Health Screenings, we are able to provide health screenings and education to a population that would otherwise have little access. We partner with The Institute for Family Medicine to provide full physicals, education and referrals.
Our screenings take place every other Wednesday throughout the school year in order to bring this program to each of our schools. This volunteer opportunity allows access to working with the children while they are waiting to be seen by the nurse and working with the team to facilitate the day of service as a whole.
