Are you passionate about education?
Do you enjoy working with adults one-on-one or in small groups?
Do you have 2 to 4 hours a week to help people in your community improve their literacy skills?
Tutoring adults gives them the opportunity to expand their horizons and achieve lifelong goals, such as:
Securing a better job
Reading to their children
Going to college
Passing the citizenship exam
And many more life-changing aspirations!
You would be at the San Carlos Library tele-tutoring station, while your learner would be at East Palo Alto Library.
