GRASP does not have a shelter so our cats and dogs are placed into volunteer foster homes until they are adopted to loving permanent homes within our community. The number of pets GRASP can save is directly dependent upon the number of available foster homes. Fostering can be a very rewarding experience and GRASP covers the cost of all veterinary care. All we need from you is a little extra space in your heart and your home!
If interested please go to www.graspinc.org and submit either the cat or dog application found under the Adoptions menu. An adoption counselor will follow up with you within 1-3 business days.

I'm retired. I enjoy having a foster cat or kittens when I'm home, and no worries when I'm traveling. I like getting to know their different personalities. My visitors are delighted, young and old alike. A lapful of purring, an urgent meow and leg rub in the kitchen for food, little faces peering out from behind the chair, loud peeps at the window while watching the birds, the patter of little feet playing, or just a mellow snooze on the couch. I love it all. Grasp finds each one a good home. When my foster kitty leaves me I'm briefly sad, but I consider it a big success. I've helped a cat and a cat has helped me. It's a little work and a lot of fun. It brightens up my home. It fits my lifestyle. When I return from a trip I look forward to meeting a new feline friend. Try fostering! Grasp will support you and the cat will love you for it. ~Mary O
As a child I grew up with a passion for animals. As an adult I cared for my own rescued pets and then after seeing a dog on GRASP's facebook page I felt the need to foster. My first foster, Blue, just wanted to be loved and given treats! Eventually a wonderful family adopted him and I will be the first to admit I cried. Why? Because I helped save a life and gave Blue a second chance at being a family member. That was eight foster dogs ago! It can get hectic at times with my dog plus a foster but it's only temporary for me and in doing so I've added years of good memories for the dog and for a family! Do I still cry when our little "wiggle butts" move on to their new home? Of course but my mindset is I've saved eight lives and counting! ~Stephanie W.
