The Seed to Table Program supports the Alameda Boys & Girls Club youth programming in edible education. With an organically grown garden and a commerical kitchen we provide food based education to youth from grades one through twelve. Seed to Table also partners with the Nea and ACLC public charter schools supporting their garden electives in our outdoor garden classroom.
Assistants support the Seed to Table Director with preparation and delivery of hands on garden and kitchen programming for youth aged 5 to 18. Most classes are weekdays, 40-90 minutes, between 8am-6pm.
Volunteers should be punctual, reliable, with a can-do attitude. Experience working with an organic, edible food garden: growing, maintaining, harvesting is very useful, as is working with youth.
