Teachers are needed to oversee small groups of children in grades PreK-8 who are struggling in reading or math. Assistance is needed in creating a curriculum plan that follows state and county requirements as well as lesson plan creation and teen training. High school volunteers follow the lesson plans when tutoring the children. Classes are after-school, Saturday mornings, and various days throughout the summer. Description
Next Generation Focus (NGF)'s SmarterMe Tutoring, is an after school, weekend, and summer learning program that provides free and reduced-cost tutoring and homework assistance to at-risk students in grades K-8 in the core academic content areas of reading/language arts and mathematics.
