The Court Appointed Special Advocate ( CASA) Program of Montgomery County has openings on its all-volunteer Board of Directors. CASA’s Board of Directors is made up of up to twenty (20) elected, voting members. The Board meets on the 4th Thursday of January, March, May, July, September and November.
Board members are expected to actively participate in at least one committee, including:
Finance and Fundraising (two committees that oversee agency finances; develops and implements annual fundraising plan, including individual & corporate donations, special events, etc.)
Public Relations and Recruitment (promotes awareness of CASA, etc.)
Program & Policy (develops program and personnel policies; conducts annual program evaluation; develops & implements long-range plans for agency, etc.)
Board Membership (identifies board needs and actively recruits & screens prospective members; orients new board members, etc.)

Every child in our community deserves a voice. CASA volunteers advocate for abused/neglected children to reach safe and permanent homes as quickly as possible.
