The Prisoners Literature Project sends free books to prisoners in the United States. We give the gifts of literature and knowledge to men and women with limited access to books. We hold book-packing sessions at 2022 Blake Street, Berkeley, California. The sessions are held every Wednesday between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Please join us to answer letters from prisoners, select books from our library of donated books, and prepare packages for shipping. No sign-up in advance is needed. Just show up Wednesday evening and stay as little or as long as you'd like during the sessions. Our book-packing sessions are conducted in a friendly and casual environment. We are always in need of new volunteers, and everyone is welcome. We also have other volunteer opportunities available. Please see our website (www.prisonlit.org) for more details about us.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
We'll work with your schedule.
