ORGANIZATION: Town Cats

  • 19 people are interested

We need volunteers to host our adoption fairs which take place on weekends at Petco and Pet Food Express in San Jose and Morgan Hill. (Total of 5 different locations)

These volunteers will set up the adoption fair, talk to people interested in adopting cats, and give people and potential adoptees information. Once the adoption goes through, this volunteer will go over the paperwork with the adopter.

For this position, we are looking for a dependable person who can commit to work EVERY weekend, for at least 6 months. Volunteers must be over 18 for this role. We request the volunteer to commit to this timeframe due to the amount of training required.

One shift lasts for 4 hours.

This is a rewarding volunteer opportunity. It is hard work, but involves giving a cat a forever home!

You must love talking to people, and must have knowledge of cats.

Trainings will be provided.

If interested, please complete a volunteer registration form at http://www.towncats.org/volunteer-sign-up-form/

For general questions, please visit www.towncats.org or email Marcie at volunteercoordinator@towncats.org.

Thank you so much for your interest!

About Town Cats

Location:

PO Box 1828, Morgan Hill, CA 95038, US

Mission Statement

Town Cats is a non-profit volunteer-based no-kill cat and kitten adoption center/shelter and feral cat advocacy organization dedicated to enriching the lives of homeless cats and kittens in the south Santa Clara county through an aggressive rescue and adoption program, TNR (trap, neuter, return), and public education.

Description

Town Cats works to alleviate the suffering of stray, abandoned, unwanted, and feral cats in Santa Clara County. We sponsor innovative programs to help cats in traditional shelters in our county, as well as community cats who live outdoors. We educate the public about the cat overpopulation problem, and provide people with the tools to become part of the solution. Town Cats supports individuals who want to help through aggressive spay/neuter and cat care programs, and by providing vet care and cat food to low income cat guardians, fosters, or owners. We also find permanent, safe, and loving homes for the homeless house cats and kittens in our care.
