Thank you to all veterans for your service to our country; we are now asking you to honor those who have served alongside you before, during, or after your time of service to this country. Not everyone has experienced the world in the way you have served our country, and your fellow service members need someone who has been through the thick of it.
We are asking for volunteers that have served in the armed forces to provide a healing presence to those who are nearing the end of their lives and their families. This can include sharing stories, reading, listening to music, giving the family some respite by sitting with the client, providing some small housework, or running errands. Generally it's about being there for them during this time just as they were there for our country in their service.
If you are interested, please leave your number in your message so we can contact you as soon as possible.
Thank you for considering Altus Hospice for your volunteer experience!
