Project Safe is hosting a fun annual fundraiser: Groovy Nights which is a 70's vs. 80's themed party. Guests dress up in funky attire and dance, eat, and party the night away on Saturday, August 26th from 8-11pm. Volunteers are needed to sell tickets, promote event, set up decorations, and assist with event coordination such as catering and entertainment.
This is ideal for volunteers with public relations, advertising, or event coordination background. Or if you have a knack for interior design or just love dance parties and want to help with set up, you may be perfect for the job!
We meet twice a month for progress, brainstorming, and updates. Volunteers typically donate 10-20 hours per month from April-August. No background checks are required for volunteers.

Project Safe is a non-profit working to end domestic violence in the Athens area through crisis intervention, ongoing support, systems change advocacy, and prevention and education.
Description
Project Safe is a local domestic violence center located in Athens, Georgia. We serve Clarke, Oconee, Oglethorpe, and Madison counties. We have a 24/7 hotline and emergency shelter. All of our services are free and confidential. We offer counseling, support groups for women and children, individual advocacy, court accompaniment, safety planning, and emergency financial assistance.
