Art Works for Change is a nonprofit organization that creates contemporary art exhibitions to address critical social and environmental issues. We recently launched a new online exhibition platform to broaden our reach. Our current exhibition explores humanity’s ecological footprint and the consequences of overshooting the natural resources that Earth can supply and regenerate. We are partnering with environmental organizations to create the exhibition, including Global Footprint Network, World Wildlife Fund, Earth Day Network and NRDC.
We are looking for a curatorial intern to help us with our exhibition by drafting artist statements and other curatorial content for the exhibition and related social media campaigns.
In addition to the exhibition itself, the curatorial content may be featured in prominent online campaigns, including Earth Day (sponsored by the Earth Day Network) and Earth Overshoot Day (sponsored by Global Footprint Network and the World Wildlife Fund).
Plus, you will get to join a fun, passionate team, working for an important cause--and build your own skills and network in the process. Remote volunteers are happily accepted.More opportunities with ART WORKS FOR CHANGE

Description
Our museum-quality exhibitions are hosted by fine art institutions all over the world. The artists we feature educate the public and foster dialogue through the unique voice of contemporary art. Each of our exhibitions is complemented by local educational and outreach opportunities at each destination, building critical mass for social action, and leaving behind a legacy of local activism.
