Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue. We ask volunteers to participate in a variety of tasks if they can and need many different talents to accomplish our mission of saving and rehoming homeless and abandoned Golden Retrievers.
We have many volunteer opportunities, including transport, in-home interviews, events, fundraising, and shelter monitoring.
Once you have decided on the types of activities that appeal to you, we will ask you to fill out an application. This is mandatory for insurance purposes. You then will be contacted by someone from our Volunteer Committee.
We know that we can use your help and you will find some of the nicest people you can meet by signing up as a volunteer with Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue. We look forward to having you join our incredible team of volunteers.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to find loving, lifetime homes for all Southern California Golden Retrievers in need, regardless of conditions or circumstances. We will always strive to heal the sick and injured, rehabilitate the neglected and abused, and nurture the aged and unwanted until we find the perfect family who will shower them with unconditional love. Our vision is to build a refuge - a sanctuary - to serve as a halfway house where each of our beloved Goldens can rest and recuperate, prior to being placed with a foster or permanent family and moving on in their new lives.
Description
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. There are many ways to help, including: monitoring shelters; transporting, fostering, or representing dogs; interviewing applicants in their homes; participating in adoption events; fundraising; administration; and website development and maintenance.
