Good Shepherd Hospice of Tulsa is in need of volunteers to help with a variety of projects in our office. ALSO, our volunteers are seeing patients again if you would like to be a Patient Care Volunteer. IN FACT, our patient load has increased 25% in the last few months. Now, more than ever, we need volunteers like you to sit with hospice patients. You can read a book to them, play a board game with them, or just sit and let them tell you their stories. It is a great opportunity for you as well as our patients.
Our hospice is growing and the need for other kinds of volunteers is growing as well. Office volunteers play a valuable "behind the scenes" role in support of our nurses, aides, chaplains, and social workers who care for our hospice patients and families! We need help with organizing supplies, mailings and newsletters, computer work, organizing the always present volume of paper work and filing, preparing our "We Honor Veterans" materials, and many other things. At Good Shepherd Hospice we recognize the and appreciate the talents and gifts that every volunteer brings to our program! Come join our team and become an advocate for all the good that Hospice does. Please visit our website at: www.goodshepherdhospice.com or contact Bob Whiddon, Volunteer Coordinator, at 918-743-5067 or bob.whiddon@goodshepherdhospice.com.

Description
COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.
At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually.
We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.
Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease lonliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.
