15 people are interested
CompeerCORPS matches veteran volunteers with veterans who are recovering from a mental illness. Our trained volunteers offer friendship and support to individuals struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders.
CompeerCORPS volunteers are unique: this is a veterans helping other veterans program. By giving this person the gift of friendship, you can serve as a support and mentor.
Volunteers get together with their match one hour a week (or four hours a month) doing activities both enjoy, such as watching a ballgame, going for a walk, or grabbing a cup of coffee.
About Compeer of Lebanon County
4 South 4th St., Unit C, Lebanon, PA 17042, US
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people recovering from mental illness through the power and gift of friendship. We train caring, sensitive volunteers to be in 1-on-1 friendship connections.
Compeer believes that friendship is powerful medicine. Many individuals recovering from mental illness find it difficult to make new friends or maintain a healthy social life. But the support of a friend can make all the difference to a person struggling with anxiety, depression, or isolation.
Compeer connects volunteers with individuals who need a friend. Volunteers meet with their match one hour each week, doing activities that both friends enjoy.
We'll work with your schedule.
