Mission Statement

Ethos Literacy helps fulfill the ambitions of low-literate adults and immigrants who are striving to achieve their goals by empowering them with literacy and language skills. Through one-on-one or small group instruction, we give our clients the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment. We endeavor to create a literate, inclusive, and equitable community.

Description

Since 2009, Ethos Literacy has provided reading, writing and English Language Acquisition instruction to adults In 2020, we expanded our services to teens who have left school. Our expertise is the cultivation of core reading and English Language skills. We also have a special literary arts program. We've received national awards: Library of Congress Best Practices in Literacy Honoree for creating a curriculum to teach phonemic and alphabetic awareness to adults and National Literacy Directory Innovation Prize for our literary arts project.
