Mission Statement

The mission of New Vision Services Inc. through The McKie Foundation is committed to providing a structured therapeutic environment for a continuum of care aimed at emotionally, mentally, and behaviorally challenged children, youth, and underserved populations.

Description

The McKie Foundation will provide a complete suite of services focused on advancing the well-being and independency of our youth. To this end, The McKie Foundation will open and operate the following programs:

  • Small Group Residences
  • Supervised Independent Group Residence
  • Mother and Baby Group Residence
  • Transitional Group Residence
  • Treatment and foster Care Services
  • Community Based Programs
    • Mentoring
    • Case Management
    • Family Functioning Therapy
    • Multi-Systemic Therapy
    • Certified Parenting Program
    • Educational Programming (Literacy, Math and Science)

Through repeated failures in the classroom, unstable homes, past emotional, physical, sexual traumas, and development of destructive habits, these young people have lost faith in the possibilities that awaits them if they are successful in putting their lives together. Youth will stay for short periods of time in The McKie Foundation’s small group residences while their family circumstances are readied. Youth will attend weekly and specialized therapy appointments, school, participate in the daily structure of the group residence program, and attend approved family visits. These activities are designed to strengthen the relationship between the youth, resources, supports and family, while improving the youth’s confidence and hopefulness.
