Kids at Heart free Tutoring is shifting from site based to virtual tutoring in support of San Diego Unified Schools' Distance Learning. Volunteer tutors work via shared screen software, one-on-one with inner-city youth to accelerate academic achievement. Tutoring sessions focus on improving literacy skills and homework assignments. Tutor-Student teams may meet as frequently as necessary, minimum of one hour per week. UPLIFT Kids At Heart encourages equal education access, racial equity & social justice. UPLIFT Programs love all, serve all. There is no requirement of faith affiliation to serve with or receive services from UPLIFT.
