You can help save a shelter cat by letting them crash on your couch for a month or 2 while they look for their forever homes.
Adult cats in shelters do not get seen. They get over looked especially if there are kittens in the shelter. Adult cats get more scared and don't act like themselves at shelters. If they are given a temporary home once they settle down they get to show their true colors and that is how we help them get adopted.
Adult cats are way easier to foster then kittens. They usually already know how to behave and don't get into everything like kittens do.

Mission Statement
We strongly advocate and promote Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for feral and stray cat colonies. TNR is a proven management program in which free-roaming cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and then returned to their caregivers to live out the remainder of their lives.
Description
Meow Stories provides a community service by educating the general public and assisting residents with TNR for feral and stray cats in their care. When availability allows, we take in kittens and friendly adults and place them in loving foster care where they are fully vetted and prepared for adoption into lifetime homes. We also provide second chances for abandoned, neglected and injured cats/kittens so that they may be rehabilitated and placed in forever homes.
