We need a Web Developer/Group of Web Developers to help build and shape our website appearance and visitors experience. Selected individual/group will accomplish the tasks through the creation of page layouts (headings and paragraphs), website styling (colors and fonts), and page features (animations and pictures). The Developer(s) will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure the final product adheres to the predetermined budget, scope, and design.

World Association for Community Empowerment is a registered nonprofit 501-C-3 tax-exempt organization founded in 2000 with a mission to empower low-income communities and families to become self-sufficient through the provision of a comprehensive array of services that foster hope and provide opportunities for growth and personal development.

Description

Founded in the winter of 2000, the organization is a registered nonprofit staffed by community volunteers and interns from undergraduate and graduate schools throughout New York City. Since the foundation, the organization has engaged in offering service of a unique nature aimed at meeting the needs of the community we serve. Currently, the organization provides Job Readiness Training and Referrals, Case Management and Referral, After School and Out-of-School Youth Educational and Recreational Program, Computer and Financial Literacy Classes, and Civic Education Classes to needed families on the North Shore of Staten Island.

The organization also provides Nutritional Food, Clothing, and other household items to families in need.
