The Free Clinic is looking for friendly volunteers to answer phones and process charts during our Walk-In Clinics! Ideal candidates should possess good phone skills, basic clerical and computer skills, ability to organize and prioritize, and assure patient confidentiality. Friends and family are encouraged to sign up together!

We are taking all precautions necessary against COVID. Volunteers are required to be vaccinated. Our receptionist have little if any direct contact with patients. Surgical masks are worn by all.

Volunteers opportunities are on the 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings (8:45 - 12:00), and Tuesday evenings from to 4:00 to generally 7:00 pm. We ask for a minimum commitment of a year, working 1 - 2 times a month.

Our Mission is provide health care to and advocacy for the people of the Chippewa Valley who have no health care alternative.

Description

We provide free medical services to the poor and uninsured in the Chippewa Valley. We host a general walk-in clinic every Tuesday night as well as a bi-monthly Diabetic Clinic, bi-monthly Mental Health Clinic and monthly Vision Clinic.

Through the hard work of dedicated volunteers we provide medical examinations, patient advocacy, lab services, and free medications within limits.

We are located at 1030 Oakridge Dr in Eau Claire, WI.
