Mission Statement

"Use our educational programs and resources to help our student gain collegiate scholarships.."

Description

TEAM R.O.A.R. is a fully operational 501(C)(3) charity based, nonprofit organization. We're headquartered, operating and servicing our Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUB Zone) communities of Washington DC, Baltimore City and greater.

Our organization was founded in 2013 by two native Washingtonian brothers. Together, they shared a common vision of socially and economically empowered communities, delivered by the successful leadership of our youth. The two brothers agreed to use education and basketball as the catalyst for such a change, and TEAM R.O.A.R. was born. The emphasis was aggressively placed on building an organization from the ground up that would be unique and unlike any other. To accomplish this, the mission had to be clear, precise and achievable. Moreover, every member within the organization had to be in full agreement and support of our mission. One mission, one team and one community equals successful youth, stronger communities and a prominent tomorrow.

We operate with a Board of Directors (BoD), an Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and our fully dedicated staff (FDS). Our ELT delivers over 20 years of experience in the areas of community services, technology, banking, education and athletics. These professionals and their experiences are used to help mold the foundation of TEAM R.O.A.R. . With this foundation, the highest regard for our youth's collegiate and career endeavors is implemented.
