Auction Item Procurement Team (Volunteer)
WhenIt's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.
WhereThis is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
Our fundraisers supports our non-profit with providing essential funding to schools, non-profits and famiies in need who otherwise would not be able to afford our membership program or our STEAM education program fees.
Working closely with the Philanthropy Events & CRM Manager (email@example.com), each procurement volunteer will help us procure (receive donations) for our upcoming auctions. Our new strategy includes deeper volunteer engagement (you), clearing who is approaching whom in advance (so that we only ask a prospective donor once), and a themed based approach for items:
October 15th is our Gala & Auction (includes silent & live auction)
We are seeking to gather a team who can support our small staff to help make these auctions a success. We imagine the team will meet monthly (either in person or on the phone) and coordinate their requests and brainstorm the creativity of the packages. From there each person can make magic happen and submit their results as they go. In addition members of this team will select a representative to attend our Culture of Philanthrophy Cabinet to share and update the results of the procurement team.
Each volunteer will have an interview, references and background check.
This is standard for all volunteer positions within the Institute of Flight and has huge impact on the success of our auctions.
This position works well for people who work full-time but want to help in a meaningful way and leverage your contacts. Times are flexible to fit your schedule.
