Do you love learning about art? Do you enjoy sharing your love of art with people of all ages? Do you want to brush up on your public speaking skills? Well here's your chance!
The Peninsula Fine Arts Center in Newport News is looking for docents and gallery hosts! Tours are normally 45 minutes or less and we will provide the information that you will need to know!
Our exhibition will be Native American Art and Artifacts. Our training will be January 20th from 9:30-11ish. Please write us with any questions or to RSVP if you'd like to attend. An alternate training session may occur if there's enough interest.
You do not need a background in art history. We especially encourage people who enjoy working with school aged children to apply. We look forward to hearing from you!
We will have an exhibition of space-themed art (NASA Langley's 100th Anniversary Celebration) showing from April 8-June 25 following this exhibition. Please let us know if you are interested in being a gallery host/docent iwth this show as well.
