We are seeking a volunteer Medical Assistant to support our on-site Medical Team during our two week session. This is a great position for EMT or nursing/medical students. You will work under two RNs and assistant in keeping the camp health center running smoothly.
2-week session minimum commitment. Must be at least certified in First Aid, CPR, AED. Proof of Certification required. Medical staff and assistants will: live on campus for the session(s), provide basic treatment and first aid to campers and staff in, organize and distribute daily medications, keep extensive documentation, incident reporting, parent communication and whatever else a typical day at camp might bring. Must be knowledgeable or willing to learn LGBTQ youth matters and medicine. Must be very comfortable working with and treating transgender, gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, and questioning children and adults.
This is a 100% volunteer commitment. Room & Board is provided. We are glad to sign off on internship hours or school credit programs.

We offer accredited summer camps, backpacking trips, family camps, mental health services, meet-up groups, and year-round leadership programming. All of our programs focus on helping LGBTQ+ youth find what they need most to thrive: their people, their place, and their passion. Nothing makes us more proud than seeing our youth take the skills they gain in our programs and use them to create meaningful change in their communities.
