EcoRing needs to produce site seeing maps for tourist in order to raise awearness of the trail potential of the hstoric North Pacific Coast Railroad right-of-way which runs from Sausalito on the San Francisco Bay in Marin County to Cazadero north of the Russian River in Sonoma County. This beautiful, 94 mile route features two bsys, estuaries and marshes, redwood forests, Salmon-bearing Rivers and creeks and interesting geologic features like the San Andreas fault. The original rail line has a rich history and accounts for the forest, agricultural and tourist industries in the North Bay.

We need a volunteer with map production skills to produce three maps: a paper map for distribution at local businesses and tourist bureaus, an interactive internet map for our EcoRing website and a map application for smart phones. Volunteer will work with a researcher and writer who will produce historical, environmental, geologic and commercial descriptions of points of interest to be included on the maps.
