To promote safety and justice in Tulsa County through co-located multi-disciplinary services that offer protection, hope and healing to victims of family violence.
Description
The Family Safety Center (FSC) works to reduce the barriers faced by victims/survivors or domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking who are seeking help and protection. Centrally located in the heart of downtown, FSC provides access to emergency protective orders and victim services in a single location. Domestic violence and sexual assault survivors and their families can quickly and confidentially receive critical information and referrals based on individual needs. The Family Safety Center opened in 2006 with eight onsite partners including advocates, prosecutors, law enforcement, forensics and civil attorneys. Current FSC partners include: DVIS, Tulsa Police Department (TPD) Family Violence Unit, TPD Forensic Nursing Department (SANE), Tulsa County District Attorney's Office DV Victim Advocate, Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, Tulsa Metropolitan Ministries, Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Parent Child Center of Tulsa,
