Tutor one-on-one assisting low-literate, English-speaking adults with basic reading, writing, spelling, math, GED prep or the U.S. Citizenship exam.
We are seeking volunteers who are patient, flexible and culturally sensitive. Literacy tutors meet with adult learners at all 35 branches of the San Diego Public Library, twice a week for 1.5 hours each time.
Must possess a H.S. Diploma/GED or higher. Must commit to 6 months of tutoring. Must complete the 12-hour literacy tutor training.More opportunities with San Diego Public Library - City Heights/Weingart Branch Library
