The Cat Network keeps adoptable cats & kittens in the habitat in the Petco in Manchester. We are looking for volunteers to help out with taking care of the cats/kittens for any day of the week (Monday - Friday, & Sunday). We make sure that the animals have food & water and that their litter boxes (2) are cleaned and that their area is neat & tidy.
Then, of course, we play with them and give them some much needed love & attention!
Some of the cats like to be brushed; some like to be played with, and some just want to be held and petted.
We supply all of the food and cleaning materials, the only thing you need to supply is the time and the LOVE!
Our volunteers go one day (a set schedule, as much as we can) a week, but we can also use people who would want to come every other week.
One hour a week can make all the difference in the world to a cat or kitten who is looking for their fur-ever home!
And if you are a high school student who needs volunteer hours for school -- let us know -- we are happy to sign off on your volunteer hours with us!
Join us in helping these animals!

Mission Statement
The Cat Network is an all volunteer, no-kill, cat rescue organization in the greater St. Louis area. We are a non-profit, 501-c-3 organization. We do not have a shelter, so we care for our foster cats in our homes. We are currently caring for over 100 permanent foster cats. We accept (rescue) cats or kittens who we can hopefully re-home. Generally we prefer to rescue cats/kittens from local animal control shelters, but will occasionally accept owner turn-ins.
Description
After rescue, our cats/kittens are quarantined for at least 14 days to assure that they are disease free. This also gives us time to provide the necessary vet care. All newly rescued cats/kittens are taken to one of our affiliated vet offices for a complete check-up. They will be given age-appropriate vaccinations, a microchip, and will be combo tested for feline leukemia/feline aids. If old enough, the cat/kitten will be altered. Our cats/kittens are also treated for intestinal and external parasites.
All of our cats/kittens live in caring foster homes. Our 'adoptable' foster cats/kittens participate in regularly scheduled adoption events at local PetSmart and Petco stores.
